I got up reasonably late today, as per the new usual. After breakfast, I called my best friend in Idaho, which took a huge chunk of my day, as it usually does. Because of the time zones, she is 6 hours ahead, yesterday if that makes sense. Or 18 hours behind if that's easier. this obviously makes it really hard to keep in contact, because by the time I'm up, she's usually going into her evening! It's nice in summer however, because of daylight savings for both countries, it changes to four hours ahead, or 14 hours behind.

After I had finished chatting with her, I cleaned the outsides of all of our windows for Mum, which took about an hour and forty minutes. My gosh, windows and streaky cleaner is THE SINGLE MOST FRUSTRATING THING. Especially when it's quite sunny and you thought it was a grand idea to stay in your comfortable long sleeved t-shirt.

My brother after lunch then asked me if he could have a riding lesson on Cruise so I took him out to do that for a while. I put him in this makeshift round-pen that I had made for liberty work and got him doing some trotting in sitting and rising, just to help his balance a bit. He did really well and didn't get too confident which was good.

It was about 4 when we finished up, so we went back inside and he played a bit of Uncharted 2 while I attempted to get as much of my crocheting done as possible. I'm about 3/4 of the way there, I just need to crochet the strap holes and the straps themselves, and of course, actually put the two pieces together.

This evening my family and I watched a really interesting documentary about a man called 'Arthur Blessitt' who took a 12 foot cross across every single country in the world. It was super cool t see the ups and downs of his journey, and the different people he met and what he experienced. It was also pretty crazy some of the stories he told, with outcomes that you definitely don't expect. I highly recommend watching it, as it really inspired me personally.
